Telos® 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing SC
The Telos® 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing Chip SC 100 µm is a glass microfluidic device designed for generating monodisperse droplets containing 1 reagent. It has many applications including; emulsion generation, foam generation, micro-particle synthesis and high throughput experimentation.
SC stands for ‘Surface Connection’. This refers to the output port which is a surface connection port rather than a chip edge connection.

The Telos® 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing Chip SC 100 µm has 7 parallel junctions and can be used separately from the Telos® system with the Telos® Starter Kit SC (Part No. 3200663). When used in conjunction with the Telos system up to 10 chips can be run in parallel (70 droplet junctions) for higher throughput applications.
The Telos® 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing Chip SC 100 µm (Part No. 3200819) allows oil droplets to be created in water. Other options include:
- Aqueous droplets in an organic carrier phase - Telos 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing Chip SC 100 µm, hydrophobic (Part No. 3200820).
- Aqueous droplets in a fluorinated oil phase - Telos 1 Reagent 3D Flow Focusing Chip SC 100 µm, fluorophilic (Part No. 3200821).
